Installation
On receipt, record the SKU, serial number, voltage, fuel and controller revision, and photograph the nameplate. Check the heater, harness, controller, pump, pipes, seals and fasteners actually supplied. Prepare maintenance access, protected routing, a suitable electrical supply and combustion exhaust outside the occupied space.
Distinguish drinking water, heated air, combustion and mains supply. Provide drainage, freeze protection, safety-valve discharge and maintenance access. Propane installations require a qualified installer for the supplied variant and applicable rules.
Prepare the compartment: Secure the base and retain access to the drain, connections and electronics. Keep return air clear and distribute heating outlets.
Mount the combustion terminal: Use the terminal and pipes for the supplied variant. Observe the TOP orientation and intake/exhaust connections. Check every clamp and seal before closing the compartment.
Connect domestic water: Connect cold inlet and hot outlet without placing mechanical strain on fittings. Fit the safety valve, drain and downward outdoor discharge. Fill with a hot-water tap open until air is expelled.
Connect energy sources: Diesel/gasoline require the matching fuel circuit and pump. Propane requires a regulator and line matching the nameplate, with leak testing by a competent installer. Mains voltage, grounding and protection must match the delivered version.
Commission: Test air, water and combined modes, then test each available energy source separately. Check hot outlets, water-system leaks and drainage. Never activate electric elements with an empty tank.
Commissioning checks
Check mounts, connections, protective devices and seals before starting. Bleed or prime only as instructed in the manual. Measure voltage at the appliance during startup; check stable operation, temperatures and unusual smoke or leaks. Test controlled shutdown and completion of cooling, recording conditions, measurements and serial number.
Operation
Fill domestic water: Close the drain, open a hot-water tap and run the water pump until flow is continuous and air-free. Check fittings. Never activate water heating or electric elements with an empty tank.
Select a mode: Use air-only, water-only or combined operation only if supported by the version’s controller. Select diesel, gasoline, propane, mains or mixed energy according to the SKU nameplate. Do not transfer Truma CP plus menus to AT1192.
Mains and propane: Confirm the 120 V version and protective devices before connection. Current or power ratings from a 230 V version do not establish 120 V ratings. Have a competent installer check propane regulation, pressure and leaks.
Winter storage: Stop heat sources, allow cooling, turn off the water pump and drain the tank and pipes completely as installed. Open taps to admit air and check low points for retained water. Switching the heater off alone does not protect against freezing.
Maintenance
Before use, check power, fuel, ducts and leaks. After moving, inspect mounts and fittings. Before the season, perform a supervised test and inspect the circuit. Allow the shutdown cycle and cooling to finish before maintenance. Follow the variant’s manual for dismantling and intervals.
Before the season, inspect mounts, wiring, pipes, outlets and protective devices; check leaks and corrosion. Clean grilles and remove obstructions without changing combustion settings. Before storage, follow water-system drainage and antifreeze procedures. After service, inspect seals and leaks, test operation and shutdown. Exact intervals depend on the variant’s manual and use.
Troubleshooting & support
Record the exact error code, a screen photograph, voltage at rest and startup, symptoms and circumstances. Check supply/connectors, fuel, intake and exhaust; on coolant systems, also check filling, bleeding and circulation. Use the installed controller’s code table; do not interchange OLED, LCD and AT1192 codes. Stop for leaks, odours or overheating and obtain professional diagnosis before replacing electronics.
Before you buy
- Required use and output
- Voltage and fuel
- Available installation space
- Combustion intake and exhaust
- Compatible controller and required installation components
- Exact packing list
Select for actual use, heat losses, climate and installation architecture. Nominal output alone does not establish compatibility or autonomy.
Do not confuse domestic-water tank capacity with engine-coolant circuit volume. Use the capacity documented for the selected variant.
