Installation
On receipt, record the SKU, serial number, voltage, fuel and controller revision, and photograph the nameplate. Check the heater, harness, controller, pump, pipes, seals and fasteners actually supplied. Prepare maintenance access, protected routing, a suitable electrical supply and combustion exhaust outside the occupied space.
Check stability, clearances and whether the variant is for indoor or outdoor use. Distinguish cooking-only, combined heating and portable cooktops; provide the specified intake and exhaust.
Check the installation location: C18/C22 and H models require the template matching the delivered single or double cooking zone. Maintain ventilation and clearance around and underneath the appliance. P45/SL45 require a stable outdoor location.
Secure the appliance: Use the support and fixing points specified for the version. On SL45, check level, slide travel and locking; never operate while moving.
Connect fuel and combustion: Secure the pump, filter and lines without air pockets. Keep fuel away from hot surfaces. On C18/C22, combustion intake and exhaust remain separate from the occupied space.
Connect wiring: Identify the supply, controller, pump and sensors before connecting. Retain the cooktop-specific harness and protection. An air-heater controller does not replace a cooking controller.
Test modes: Supervise cooking with suitable cookware. On H models only, check warm-air mode and the prescribed lid position. Stop and allow cooling before cleaning or storage.
Commissioning checks
Check mounts, connections, protective devices and seals before starting. Bleed or prime only as instructed in the manual. Measure voltage at the appliance during startup; check stable operation, temperatures and unusual smoke or leaks. Test controlled shutdown and completion of cooling, recording conditions, measurements and serial number.
Operation
Before cooking: Check stability, power, fuel and clearance from flammable materials. Use stable cookware suited to the cooking surface. Keep air intake and exhaust routes clear.
Cooking and heating: Adjust output gradually and supervise cooking. C18/C22 are cooking versions; use warm-air heating only on C18H/C22H equipped for it. Do not cover a hot surface to simulate heating mode.
Outdoor versions: Operate P45 and SL45 outdoors, never in a moving vehicle. Deploy and secure the SL45 mechanism before starting and prevent accidental retraction during combustion. Stop before refuelling.
After cooking: Stop with the controller and allow flame extinction and complete cooling before suitable cleaning. Do not spray water onto electronics or the burner. Retract a sliding version only after full cooling.
Maintenance
Before use, check power, fuel, ducts and leaks. After moving, inspect mounts and fittings. Before the season, perform a supervised test and inspect the circuit. Allow the shutdown cycle and cooling to finish before maintenance. Follow the variant’s manual for dismantling and intervals.
Before the season, inspect mounts, wiring, pipes, outlets and protective devices; check leaks and corrosion. Clean grilles and remove obstructions without changing combustion settings. Before storage, follow water-system drainage and antifreeze procedures. After service, inspect seals and leaks, test operation and shutdown. Exact intervals depend on the variant’s manual and use.
Troubleshooting & support
Record the exact error code, a screen photograph, voltage at rest and startup, symptoms and circumstances. Check supply/connectors, fuel, intake and exhaust; on coolant systems, also check filling, bleeding and circulation. Use the installed controller’s code table; do not interchange OLED, LCD and AT1192 codes. Stop for leaks, odours or overheating and obtain professional diagnosis before replacing electronics.
